It also looks at Renaissance Italy with its richly mythological imagery, the landscaped parks of England, and the gardens of New Harmony in the s: 1. Niki de Saint Phalle’s Nanas and monster. Niki de Saint Phalle created her Nanas in various shapes and sizes from onwards. The inspiration for these works came from her friend Clarice Rivers, who was pregnant at the time.
